We have just unpackaged the year 2023. What does mean for

business owners and entrepreneurs alike? Another holiday season is

behind us and another tax season is upon us. We must bring people

tremendous value in this brand new year.

What do families prioritize during this time of year? Managing

debt from the holiday season? Getting proper insurance coverage?

Looking for a new place to live? Looking for overall better mental

health? Figuring out how to utilize a much-anticipated tax refund?

As business owners, we have to hold and market the solutions to

others’ problems. Economic trends indicate that our value is just as

important as our purpose. We hold the key to solving so many of life’s

situations.

Jim Rohn was quoted as saying “You cannot change your

destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight”. It

is the year twenty-three and us. How must we change our direction in

order to have a better and more prosperous year? We change with

each passing day in increments until we look back and wonder how we

accomplished so much in so little time. It is never too late to change the

direction to get to your true destination.

VET STORY “We Declared Freedom” By Reginal G. Lyerly Before there was ever a United States of America, there were 13 colonies. Their legislative body was the Continental Congress. On July 2 nd 1776, this congress voted in favor of independence and the Declaration of Independence was drafted on July 4 th 1776 by Thomas Jefferson (3 rd U.S. President). July 4th is recognized as the official Independence Day for the United States of America. This commemorates the official announcement of the colonies’ separation from Great Britain. Massachusetts was the first state to make July 4 th an official state holiday. The tradition of fireworks on this day dates back to 1777 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during its first organized celebration. The ship’s cannon fired a 13- gun salute in honor of the 13 colonies.
