The Interconnectedness of Health and Prosperity
Often when you think about health and prosperity, you consider these different areas of life and have a tendency to address them separately. However, when you learn to see everything from a bigger perspective, you realize just why it’s so essential not to.
Through the work I do, I always encourage clients to see themselves holistically and to expand their vision to see the whole of who they are. This philosophy supports you in seeing yourself as a whole person rather than a cluster of issues, symptoms or problems. In turn that allows you to honor the interconnectedness of the different aspects of yourself.
I want you to really sit with this idea and contemplate your health and prosperity.
To be on the same page, let’s define these terms. Prosperity is a successful, flourishing, or thriving condition, especially in respect to finances. But success also includes life purpose and relationships as well.
Health is defined as the state of being free from illness or injury. But, it’s really a lot more than that which is why it is so important to look at this aspect of yourself as wellness. Wellness extends beyond health, especially the physical body to incorporate other domains that should work in harmony. These aspects can include the wellbeing of your finances, spirit and mind as well.
Without vibrant health and wellbeing, you may struggle to create and sustain prosperity. It takes a lot of physical effort, action and energy to make the things happen in our life that led to prosperity. At the same time, when your prosperity is lacking or diminished, that creates a lot of limitations of time, money and resources that can have detrimental effects to your health.
When you are constantly pushing in one area at the cost of the other, you’re always going to be out of balance and that has a tendency of creating resistance for what you want to create. Here are some areas to meditate on as you set your intentions for increase in your health and the fulfillment of your prosperity:
- Am I honoring all aspects of myself?
- Where in my life am I out of balance?
- What are my beliefs about health and prosperity?
- Do these beliefs hold true for me or are they beliefs I took on from others?
- What tools, resources and supports do I have to assist me in my intentions?
- Are my relationships nurturing and supportive of my intentions and dreams?
- What new actions am I willing to take to fulfill my intentions?
That last question is such a valuable question that many struggle to understand. In the words of Thomas Jefferson, "If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done." If your current circumstances already supported what you want, you’d already be experiencing it. So often times when you’re struggling to be successful in something that your heart desires it’s usually because something NEW is necessary.
May 2023 be a year of increase, fulfillment and many blessings for you in all areas of your life and especially in health and prosperity.
